Monocrome sketch after the London Marathon

Posted On: Monday 30th April 2012
Summary: After the Marathon a large group gathered at "The George", a pub near Waterloo Bridge in London to welcome our runners, I sketched the scene briefly in a moleskine notebook

I've mentioned this before, but it's a sketching tip worth repeating. Try using mid grey paper to sketch with, because you can then acheive a lot with a white (crayon, pastel, or oil pastel), dark grey and black. This is what I did here but in this instance I had previously painted several pages of my moleskine notebook with mid grey acrylic. So simple, so quick.
