This was a delightful oil painting experience, enjoying the early spring warm weather, a marsh harrier wheeling and turning over the fen. It's great to be painting outdoors at a time like this.

Early spring on the River Cam, Grantchester
With a touch of snow still on the ground, I am thankful now that maybe the last of winter is over. In the summer this is a favourite picnic spot. For me it was an interesting subject for a small oil painting using my pochade box
