A proper pochade painting box

Posted On: Friday 13th May 2011
Summary: At long last I have a proper pochade painting box. How have I managed so long with an old adapted box for holding pastels? This one is better in every way. Considering I do so much outdoor painting I don't know why I have not done this before now

pochade boxThis is a massive step up from the pochade box I have been using til now. It's deeper so I can get all I need in for painting in oils outdoors. It will hold three thin painting panels 12"x 10" which is quite big enough for me. If I want to paint bigger plein air, I would take my heavier French easel with me. Also it allows me to leave out squeezed paints that aren't finished off. They are held in place withoug touching anything. Excellent!

This box is made by Mr A Begg and his phone number in Doncaster, UK, if you want one, is 01302538256
