eze pastel rivieraEze  is one fantastic location on the French Riveriera. It's a medieval village built on a crag overlooking Villefrance sur Mer. I took a small A5 sheet of cut pastel paper in my favourite neutral pale grey - allowing me to go lighter or darker at will. The black hatching is a permanent felt pen. The pastels are Sakura carre pastels. Together a reference photo I have enough information for a large painting perhaps in oils
