Rome - pastels sketch in the rain in Trastevere

trastevere in the rainSame area as the last sketch in pastels, but this time it was raining hard. The main consolation was that we were under cover out on the pavement of a lovely restaurant. This was the only time we had a piizza, and it was certainly worth it. Not like the rubbish we get served in the UK where you'd get more taste from eating the box.

Brush pen, ink fineliner and hard pastels. This guy was watching me sketch with some intensity so I asked him if he painted. Not only did he paint, he carried round with him a tin of pastels just like mine. We laid them both out on the table so I could photograph them. Fantastic. I can't remember his name but I know he is an architect. I hope you are seeing this.
