barges in cambridge in pastelsThere's always something interesting happening on this part of the river. Even if there aren't any rowers out practising, there'll be a new selection of boats tied up at the river side. And thisis the case here. Some cows grazing in the distance under the trees and a couple of barges staying for the night. 

I was pleased with this small sketch - perhaps a plume of smoke issuing from the galley would add a little point of interest, and suggest that the evening meal is being prepared.
