Whithall in pen and crayonThe light was changing constantly as I walked down Whitehall (central London) towards Downing Street - mostly light rain, but then the sun would break through momentarily. All these sketches - this one in pen and black neocolour pastel stick - were done in between painting with my pochade box in oils, and I'll post the 12 or so oils I did in a week or so's time.

These sketches were all done to get a feel for the scene, and the light, as reference for future work.
