Summary: This was sketched from outside the Twinings tea shop while the people I was with did a spot of shopping for tea. I stood outside to sketch the Royal Courts of Justice.

sketch royal cours of justice londonI did this lightening quick sketch outside  the Royal Courts of Justice in London just near the Twinings tea shop. Using fountain pen and pencil I contrasted the shadows on the right with the pale ashlar on the range of buildings on the left. I liked the Twinings shop sign on the right which is in shadow and forms an important part of the composition.
